Laser printer leaving dots

Every time I want to print something I always have some problem.

I recently replaced my HP Laser Printer with re-manufactured cartridges, since they were half the cost of a new one.  It worked great for a few weeks, then it developed this habit of leaving spots of magenta all over the print.

The prints came out clean if I printed black/white text, so I knew it wasn’t because the fuser got dirty.  Turns out it was because the magenta cartridge was leaking toner hence why the spots only appeared on color prints.  Big thanks to Island Ink (where I bought the toner) had no problems replacing it with a new one, I didn’t even have to have my original receipt.  Anyway these guys are great, I had to go back 3 times to get a good cartridge but they will take care of you, if you live in the Toronto area, I highly recommend buying from them.

Below is a great test print image.  To use it you should save it first to your desktop (right click it and “save image”), then open it up from your desktop to print.
